Rabbit School Organization organized an event name “We Ring the Bell ” at Toul Kork Primary school, Phnom Penh City which supported Research Center for Inclusion and other relevant NGOs partners.

The purpose of the event is to send strong message to community to think more about children out of school to access equal education. It is not only for normal children but all children including children with disability, children from poor family and remote area, children from minority group…..etc.

Furthermore, it was a strong message to the government especially the Ministry of Education youth and sport, Educational practitioners, Policy maker, local authorities, school principals, teachers, parents, students and non-disable children to perceive about the children’s right would eliminate discrimination in their community.

In the event, Mr Hun Touch Executive director of Rabbit School Organization said that recently we continue to cooperate with MoEYS and local authorities. He also mentioned that, Rabbit School is implementing 17 school across the country and these are 640 children with intellectual disabilities have enrolled in the school but it is not enough. He urged to parent and local authority to push parent to send their children to school and the school itself must be no discrimination.

The parent representative raised their challenges in having children with disability. She suggested to local authority to protect their children in public when they pick or take something from the other or push other children in the public.

At the same time, Mr Tim Sahen Deputy of Special education department requested to local authority especially to school director and commune officer to add budget in the commune investment plan to support children with Microsoft Office 2000

disability. He also appealed to parent and educational practitioners to spread information to parent who have children with disability to enroll their child in closer school.

At the end of the event Toul Kork District of Deputy Governor, she said that, all children are eligible to access in the education not only normal children but also intellectual disabilities and physical disabilities kids also this is a great opportunity for every parent who has children with disability not coming to school yet. Now she/ he can send them to the school. Finally, He said thankful to Rabbit School and teams who spend much energy and power to effort to do with all these kind of hard work.

In this great events participated by key 510 people (Female: 238) consist of government officers, school director, commune officers, PoE, government teachers, parents, student both disability and non-disability also joint this events as well.

At the end of the events, we found out that all participants involved actively and we expect that parent and school provide more opportunity to all children especially children with disability.
